Between the early 1920s and into the 1930s two sisters founded Talfourd Toys and created a group of 28 hand-cut and hand-painted (steel pin) articulated wooden figures representing characters from the novels Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass and based on John Tenniel's illustrations. The figures are scarce. The Victoria and Album Museum holds a collection on twenty-two of these figures. We have eighteen figures, most of which are in VG condition, and are as follows
