Acknowledged to be one of the very few truly original interpretations of 'Alice' since Tenniel, Zephyr (Stockholm) commissioned the Peake illustrated edition of both Alice books in 1946, but it wasn't published in the UK until 1954. Surviving copies of the true first are notoriously elusive.
