First smaller format edition of the 1st 1906 larger published edition of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens containing 24 colour plates behind tissue-guards. The original 1906 edition contained 49 captioned tissue guarded colour plates. Original green cloth-covered boards, slight discolouration line down rear cover; pen inscription on verso of ffep: ‘With much love and all good wishes/ for a very happy Christmas/ from Nell/ 1910’; tissue-guard opposite title-page has some pen impressions of what look like seagulls.
